Day 6 of the 2-Week Super Shape-Up!!

Hey babies! How's day 6 treating you so far? Are you staying motivated? We're ALMOST at the HALF-WAY mark, so give yourself a big pat on the back and know that you really are doing great so far!

Some of you have asked how I'm feeling today - thanks so very much! I am feeling much better, and I'm also very happy to report that my book is totally done!! Tomorrow it gets sent off to print! YAY! So, that sure helps my mood and feeling of lightness as well. No more 12-hour computer days, which will also help my state of wellness immensely!

So, here's my skinny on today:
* Lemon water
* "Green Radiance"
* smoothie with pomegranate, mixed organic berries, & banana
* "Carrot Ginger Lime Soup" with a slice of toasted Ezekiel (sprouted) bread
* bean & red rice & veggie burrito (with more of that awesome habanero sauce I scored from my ex!)
* a cup of high-fiber cereal to snack on and 1/2 cup Nancy's plain soy yogurt
* 2 maca chip cookies (my "blue" for today)

Eating: I need to eat a few more veggies, but overall a very light, healthy day. I feel great about it!
Water: a gallon
Exercise: yoga and recumbent bike for 45 minutes
Visualization: 5 small visualizations so far and one longer one to set up the next day (before bed)

I'd love to hear how your day went!
I'd also like to suggest that you spend a few moments this evening reminding yourself of what your goals are. Why are you doing the 2-week plan? Often, all it takes is remembering what you desire to get you fired up and renewed in your motivation! Worked for me today, anyway. :-) xoxo

    I started this, because I wanted to not be a slave to sugar and caffeine. I just needed that little push to help me get back on track, and not be a junk food vegan (because unfortunately cokes and french fries are still vegan!!!). My goal is not to lose weight, however, I did want to fit into a certain size comfortably. Guess what? Today, I bought a pair of pants that are that size and they fit nicely :) and we are only half way done!!

  2. Tess, glad you are feeling better!!! Congratulations on your book being completed!! I am SO ready to have it in hand.

    lemon water, cantelope, smoothie same as yesterday (I have noticed I am one of those people that can eat the same thing for days or years)

    pita bread, Super Hummus and avocado.

    biggest stir fry I could eat, broc, cauliflower, carrot, onion, ginger, garlic, yellow squash and zuc and the sauce like yesterday w/a tiny bit of rice.

    Pineapple Right Side Up Cake

    water was ok.

    walked 4 1/2 mile total. mini relax yoga

    instead of my extra serving of veggies I had lots of time to visualize wish both would have happened. It wasn't for lack of planning. I WILL EAT MORE VEGGIES TOMORROW!

  3. So excited for you new book! And I'm glad to hear you're feeling much better as well.

    Breakfast: Lemon water and watermelon blueberry juice.

    Mid-Morning: A piece of bread.

    Lunch: 2 cups of roasted broccoli with some rice.

    Mid-Afternoon: 3 Roma tomatoes, cut in half, cleaned out the seeds and fill it with spinach pesto and sesame seeds

    Dinner: Quinoa, corn and broccoli stems from the broccoli earlier today.

    I've had about two liters of water so far today, not great, but I plan on spending the evening reading your books I just got in today and sipping water!

    I didn't really get any exercise in today either... the kids didn't want to nap and Jared (13 months old)... I think he's teething and just screamed and wanted to be carried around all day.

    Now, that the kids are in bed and quiet... I'm going to fill my water bottle up, grab your books and make a meal plan and grocery list for tomorrow!

  8. The existence of sound medical research does not necessarily lead to evidence based policymaking. In South Africa, whose population sets the record for HIV infections, previous government policy limiting funding and access for AIDS treatments met with strong controversy given its basis on a refusal to accept scientific evidence on the means of transmission. Thanks.

  9. Radiant energy is used for radiant heating. It can be generated electrically by infrared lamps, or can be absorbed from sunlight and used to heat water. The heat energy is emitted from a warm element and warms people and other objects in rooms rather than directly heating the air. Thanks.

  10. Personal health depends partially on the social structure of a person's life. The maintenance of strong social relationships, volunteering, and other social activities have been linked to positive mental health and even increased longevity. Thanks a lot.
